Consumer Focus was set up in 2008 as a new statutory organisation to campaign for a better deal for consumers in England, Wales, Scotland, and for postal services Northern Ireland.
Consumer Focus - Scotland Hot
Consumer Focus Scotland is the new statutory consumer body for Scotland. It took over from the Scottish Consumer Council on 1st October 2008 in addition to Energywatch and Postwatch.
Consumer Direct is a government funded organisation which provides consumer advice to consumers all over the UK. They have a network of regional advisors who are trained to provide clear and practical advice regarding most types of consumer issues. These range from problems with mobile phones to issues with buying a car.
Trading Standards Central Hot
Trading Standards Central has been created and is maintained by the Trading Standards Institute (TSI). It provides consumer protection information for the UK. The website doesn't only provide information for consumers, but includes sections for schools, businesses and local councils amongst others.
