Thorntons was established nearly 100 years ago by Joseph Thornton. Thorntons is now perhaps one of the largest chocolatier in the world with a turnover of £200 million, 380 cafés and shops and about 250 Thornton franchises as well as a successful internet and mail order business.

Thorntons' aim has always been to create the finest chocolate and confectionery in the world and they are indeed famous for their variety of delicious chocolates. To this day, their Master Chocolatier is completely dedicated to uncovering flavours and developing new recipes to delight their customers and anybody with a love of chocolate, fudges, sweets and toffee.
