Hi I'm new to What Consumer.

A quick question, am I entitled to receive a full refund if I bought some boots in the sale full price £110 reduced price £70 which after wearing them about 6/7 times the stitching has come away?

Would like to know my rights before I go into the shop if they only offer me a credit note.

Thanks :)

Under the Sale of Goods Act, the boots have to be fit for purpose. So, as long as you haven't been feeding them to the dog, then the shop should sort the problem for you.

I believe they can offer a repair or replacement but it's unlikely that they would reapir a pair of boots. And most retailers would just offer a straight refund or credit note.
