i bought a carpet on the 5th of april and it was fitted on the 7th today the 12th as i was hoovering the carpet came loose and unthreaded it is a wool loop carpet and so now i have a 3inch long by 1 cm wide bare patch with the wool still attached in one long loop. i rang the carpet shop who are trying to fob me of and say that we must of damaged it on purpose. why would you buy a carpet and do that? they say there is no fault with the carpet otherwise it would be all over the carpet not just in one place and they get people phoning them all the time trying to pull the same trick. they are meant to be coming back on wednesday 14th to take photos at my insistance as they said it would be a waste of time coming out as they know it is our fault. can i insist that they fix it and if they dont who can i turn to for help. we have only had this carpet 5 days surley it should be made to last and i am absolutley gutted. i feel i have been robbed of my money.
