I have a computer that was brought and built by Novatech in april 2007, I had the graphics card fail in May 2009, which I had to buy a new one as was not covered under warranty, then the PSU failed in September 2009, and I had to buy a new one, as that was also not covered under warranty. The new PSU was fitted by myself at home and that has now failed after only 8 months, still under warranty. We took the PC to Novatech, and said we think the PSU has failed, and they said it won't be the power supply and we would have to pay £30 service charge for the tech guys to check PC. We left PC there and 4 days later they phoned to say the PSU has failed, they would fit a temporary one while mine is being repaired, but we would need to pay service charge. My question is should the original parts have been covered under sale of goods act, and also should I have to pay a service charge too?
