Hi

I booked a Hotel at the Henry VIII Hotel in London for the 4th July as i was heading to the Wireless Festival on the 4th.

Since then my plans have changed and im no longer going or in need of the Hotel Room,

I explained this in an email and asked if i could cancel the room on the 4th. As i was giving them over 2 weeks notice at the time i thought this would be ok.

i have now recieved an Email back claiming that i purchased a room without a cancelation policy.

as my email confimation came in spanish i didnt think to query this as the time of booking.

now im stuck and dont really want to pay £70 for a room for a night what im not going to use.

Can i cancel my Bank Card or Credit Card i booked the hotel with??

Thanks

Bobby

How was the original booking made ? Over the phone / web / other ?

What conditions were given at the time of the booking ?
Could any conditions be described as unfair ?

Doed your credit card offer any kind of insurance for this circumstance (a few have interesting insurance policies for travel) ?
