We are due to go on holiday to Lesbos July 22 - all booked and fully paid. We have just had a letter from Thomas Cook telling us that the description of beach being within 300m of apartment was a misprint - in fact it is a kilometre away and the walk "may not be suitable for the less mobile"....and apologising for "any inconvenience"

What is the situation here, anyone advise? It seems to me that it is not really good enough to just apologise for inconvenience when the "misprint" has had a fairly large impact on our decision to choose this location. I don't really fancy a 2km round trip walk carrying beach gear every day especially as the revised information suggests its probably a bit hilly or otherwise not a gentle stroll!!

thats a huge difference from 300m to 1km, you should contact thomas cook and ask for a compensation as they basically lied to you and its in print so you should ahve some legal le-way
