We've had several lottery scams including Coke, Microsoft, and Google. The latest lottery scam uses Hotmail to convince users they've won. The scam firsts gathers information on users. Then the scammers will tell you that you have to pay several thousand pounds worth of fees or taxes to claim the money. Victims pay and of course there is no money.

The clues are in the email -



first it may or may not have been sent to your hotmail account

it doesn't address you personally - just says you won
the phone number is an 070 number which can be delivered any where in the world.

the email doesn't come from Hotmail but muzegroup.cn - China
The biggest clue is that you didn't enter a Hotmail lottery!
