Hi I bought a Garmin 305 GPS device, 2 years to the day it developed a fault in that it could not pick up satellites, I returned it to the manufacturer and they charged me £50.41 and sent me out another unit and when I asked for a report on why it was faulty they responded:
It was purchased on 07/06/2008 do I still have any rights to claim the £50 back?
Thanks all
Steve
We don't actually take the devices apart here and analyze them, they are
just replaced with the faulty one sent back to the factory in Taiwan as
the majority of troubleshooting is done by telephone or email. According
the notes for booking it in you had an issue with satellite reception,
from experience this would mean that the gps chipset part of the
Forerunner has failed.
