Faulty laptop on warranty - second repair ?

Hi everyone.

Last year I bought a Acer laptop from Comet.

Screen has developed a fault a couple of moths later so I went to Comet and was told it is my responsibility to get in touch with Acer. I was not happy about it but as it was really urgent for me Ive done it myself.

Since laptop came back from Acer it seems like it is overheating/ not cooling properly. It has special vents on sides, not bottom so you can hold it on your legs for many hours it was like this at the beggining but after coming back from Acer it is not comfortable as it can burn you.

And now screen developed a fault once more. Same sympthoms...

As warranty expires soon I do not just want to send it back for repair and once it expires and fault developes once more to be styuck with faulty laptop...

At this point, can I ask for a refund ? replacemnt ? bear in mind that my laptop is in brilliant condition and I would not change it for another one with dents, scratches...

Please advise on what I can do.
