I just thought I'd let everyone know about a handy money-saving iPhone application for students, it's free to download and offers heaps of local based discounts (available all over the UK).
It's launching in time for freshers' week - you will be able to download it from the iPhone App store or Student-Aid.co.uk/mobile
Once downloaded, the user will be given a range of offers within a 2 minutes walking distance and directed to the shop/bar/restaurant on a map and the voucher will be available to download and redeem immediately.
It's the only app available for student discounts and we hope you all save lots of cash and enjoy uni!
(For those of you students who have received a welcome parcel to uni, filled with treats, shower gels, drinks, sweets etc - that's us!)
The Student Aid website Student-Aid.co.uk is launching in a couple of weeks too which is a great tool to save more money on lots of your favourite brands, shops and restaurants, but also a brilliant social networking tool to find your new friends in your halls/lectures/campus.
Everything you need will be on-line, from what's on in your local area, student union events, swap shop, freebies and competitions.
Similar Facebook, but specifically for students!
