my 3rd ps3 broke this morning the bluray disc drive failed as in the other two cases. The first a launch model bought on day 1 was out of warranty but sony replaced for free this was april 2008, 15 months later the replacement broke this time sony charged me £145 to replace it, now this morning sony want another £131 for a 4th replacement. surely a reasonable person would regard 3 broken consoles in just over three years very unsatisfactory but due to the fact that i no longer have my original console i cant go to the retailer and state the sale of goods act 14. implied terms about quality or fitness. my question is would sony now be classed as the retailer due to the fact that i basically gave them a £450 console which when bought as part of a package cost me £550 plus £145 as a part exchange for a Replacement console.

any help or advice greatly appreciated
