Hi hope someone can offer a little help please. My dishwasher was purchased from B+Q at a discounted price (sale item). 10 days out of the manufacturers 12 mth warranty it began to release steam out of the top during cleaning. I called Indesit and they said it was out of it's warranty and signed me up to a years service plan at a cost of 16.50 a mth for 10 months. This plan covered me for engineer visits + repairs and a replacement if they couldn't solve it! They tried and replaced lots and it still remained faulty so a new one was supplied after 5/6 wkks. I had to pay off in full the remaining amount for the service plan plus 40 for delivery (total cost being £250).
Before I signed up for this plan I had spoken to the store manager of the B+Q where I purchased it and he said "sorry it's out of it's 12 warranty nothing we can do". Someone today mentioned the 24 month European Law, I don't really understand it and am I in a position to claim against B+Q to refund my money? Many thanks
