My future daughter in law paid a deposit of £350 for her wedding dress, she has since decided it is not 'the one'. She only paid it 6 days ago and the store is a well known reputable one, unfortunately it states on her receipt that deposits are non refundable, she was not made aware of this by the sales lady at the time of payment. Does she have any right to insist on a refund due to a cooling off period or is she stuck with the dress. Would very much appreciate your comments, she is going back to the store tomorrow so any prior knowledge of these laws would be very well received.
