I would like to know what is my consumer rights are. I bought a car a couple of weeks ago and after 2 days my automatic gearbox played up. I called the car dealer who said he would fix it at no expense to me. 5 days after leaving the car there they called me and said i have to pay £330.
I went there and said its not fair why should i pay. He said pay £300 and take the car or leave the car here. But there would be no refund for the car. So i had no choice but to pay.
While driving home i noticed the fault that was surpose to be fixed was still happening. Which means he never fixed the car? My paperwork said 3 months warranty on the engine but not gearbox can he get out of paying me a refund because of this. He said to bring the car back 2morro should i trust him to actually fix it.
If anyone could give me any advice of where i stand.
