Neither of my sites have been hacked. Given that there is no real gain to hacking either of my companies' sitem I doubt they ever will be.

A lot of these so called hackers will tag your site just for bragging rights e.g. Hacker wuz here. There are also more malicious hackers who will put phishing script on your sites, trojan payloads for your site visitors, use it to relay mail or simply to put hidden links on your site to improve search engine rankings for a shady client. All bad for your reputation.
