I purchased an AEG Santo fridge freezer from a discount appliance website which was brand new, this was about 2 yrs ago, this fridge freezer has now stopped working, am I right in thinking that the company I bought it from should attempt to repair, replace or refund as per the "Sale of goods act 1979" I can't find the original receipt but do have a credit card statement with the transaction on it, any help or advice would be greatly recieved before I call the shop

You might want to be aware of the European law on durability, which looks into the length of time that an item is expected to last. Did you take out an extended warranty when you purchased the freezer?
