This probably won't be of much help, but my father used to go direct to local factories where they fabricate kitchens - and haggle! That is, your local kitchen fitter, not the people that make it for MFI, etc!

Probably a bit late now but if you're still looking for plasterboard, Kens Yard do cheap rates on pretty much all building supplies - they are an online builders merchants, I think they deliver all over UK. Can't give you a link in this post but just type in Kens Yard to Google and they'll be top.
