Hello. I tried to return a faulty XBox 360 to the GAME store where I'd bought it, for a like-for-like exchange. It is four months old and satisfies all the warranty conditions. But the manager said that he will not accept it because of a "bubble" in the security seal, as per a company "instruction". This irregularity was clearly caused at the factory and the seal shows no signs of having been tampered with. The console itself is virtually pristine. But all this is irrelevant, apparently. Microsoft advice directly contradicts the company's alleged policy.
What are my rights in this situation, and what should I do now? Any advice would be much appreciated.
