Laptop out of Warranty

Hi guys, Hoping somebody can help!

Have purchased a laptop from PC world about 18 months ago, warranty lasted a year, Laptop has now decided to die and needs a new motherboard!

I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to a replacement as the product has not had a long life as of yet and should be expected to work for much longer than 18 months.

Any idea of how I should approach PC World and exactly what I am entitled to do under my statutory rights as a purchaser?

Cheers

18 months after purchase places the product out of warranty as you said. Unless you can prove that the fault had occurred during the warranty period, I dont think you'll get much if you're wanting the work done for free.
They do, however, have a fixed price repair service (thats not really advertised in stores) which includes parts and labour and has a turnaround of only 7 Days. Maybe worthwhile pursuing that?
