Hello.
6 months ago I purchased a hard drive from Scan.co.uk
It has just failed. I won't bother going into details, but suffice to say it cannot be repaired.
Because I needed my computer in a hurry, I purchased a hard drive from Amazon and had it shipped next day delivery, before hearing back from Scan.
Scan are now saying that because I owned the hard drive for 6 months, they can only offer a replacement, not a refund.
Am I within my rights to ask for a refund, as I no longer need a replacement? I wouldn't have needed to buy a new hard drive at all if the oine I purchased from them wasn't faulty.
