I bought a wireless keyboard and mouse from Lidl which had a 3 year guarantee. The keyboard died about 18 months after I bought it. I took it back to Lidl but they said its nothing to do with them but I should contact the manufacturer whose 3 year warrantee it was. I argued and said the contract was with Lidl as the seller, but he said their time frame for returns is 28 days !! I don't know what to do !! HELP ?!?

Well Lidl are wrong about the 28 days but that is not the point.

Under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 after six months it is for you to prove the goods were faulty when you bought them. In order to force Lidl to replace it they could insist that you provide a report etc to confirm this.

If the manufacturer has provided a warranty I would claim under that directly as it will be less hassle and cost. The warranty is for you not Lidl. You should have no problem getting it sorted if it is a genuine fault.
