Hi trickygj, thanks for your answer. No I don't think it is a limited company. I'm not very inclined to try to take him to court, it just seems too much effort when we feel drained already. We are now going the route of paying other tradesmen to finish the job, even though it will cost £5,000-£10,000 more than the original budget. We just want it finished! The aim here really is to try to stop as many people as possible from falling into the same mess we have, and if he suffers financially all the better. If we got in contact with a good number of people then maybe we could get trading standards interested, or any other bodies like that.
