Probably not I'm afraid, like any other goods you buy, a second hand car must be as described and of course, being a car, must travel along a road under its own steam. If it is not sold for spares or repair then it must also be roadworthy.
If it has been altered in any way to make it appear a better runner then you could have a case but a clutch is a part in which you would expect wear and sometimes needs replacing.
Although you have no rights to a refund or replacement, the dealer may be decent enough to help with the cost or replace it at a lower price if he has access to a repair shop - always worth asking but I wouldn't go in all guns blazing.
