I have a Toshiba Regza 40XF355D lcd tv.It is 4 years old and i have just claimed on my extended warranty for a fault on the screen. Comet duly replaced the tv no probs but i had to purchase another extended warrenty for the new one. I have just found out that the fault that i had with the toshiba is a major manufacturing fault that toshiba know about and as they do not make the tv or the parts for it anymore they are liable under the 1979 sale of goods act to replace it. Could anyone tell me if this is correct and also if anyone else knows of this manufacturing fault.? I was told this by an ex toshiba repair man!!!
