I ordered a front door and the supplier did 2 surveys before to measure the door. They finally supplied me with a door which is not fitting the brickwork and have had to put what they call add-on to the frame on the sides but I still have a gap of 1.5 cm from each side of the door and on the top the gap is 2.5 cm. They filled the remaining gap with foam. I am still in dispute with them and they asked me to bring a surveyor to check the door.
I contacted a company doing such surveys but they said that they will not carry out a survey if I don't give them the name of the company who suplied me the door and fitted it. I am not sure if I can trust these associations.
Is there any indepandant surveyor to carry out this job? how much will cost me such survey?
