My daughter took her car to the garage to find out what the rattling noise that had been coming from her engine for a few days. They told her it could be the Spark Plugs plus generally a good Service, and asked her to leave the car with them.
The next day she went to pick up her car to then be told that after examination (and taking the engine apart) it appears to be the Head Gasket. She said she will get back to them (as she doesn't have approx £600 at present, being a student). They told her she could not take her car as it will not be able to make it out of their driveway in the condition it is on.
Shouldn't the garage put the car back to it's original state after inspection? She drove it there okay (and a few days beforehand) yet now it does not drive at all!
Also, the Head Gasket was replaced just over 2 years ago.
I would really appreciate some advice on this.
