Hi. Can anyone shed some light on this please. I purchased a used car part (starter motor). Duly arrived and I had it fitted at my local garage for £45. They told me that it was worse than the one on the car. Contacted seller and they offered full refund. I had a moan saying what about the labour costs and return costs. They eventually agreed to collect the part foc but, they wouldn't pay labour costs. I then bought another, guaranteed part through the garage and obviously had to pay them for the part and labour, again! Returned the faulty starter and the company refunded the cost.
After a couple of weeks I received a email from Citizens Advice and reading through it I may have a case for labour costs refund as well. As I say 'maybe'. Does anyone know the law on this one?
The spares company said that their terms and conditions state that they will not refund labour costs but, I never at any time saw their terms etc. In fact there wasn't even an invoice in the parcel just, an online one.
Sorry this is long winded but I really could do with the £45 back. Thanks.
