I took my car in for an MOT yesterday it's a 10 year old BMW 3 series. It passed the MOT with only a fault on the windscreen wiper jets. I picked the car up and it seemed a bit spluttery but as I only lived around the corner I didn't have to drive it far. Later on the same day I drove the car again only this time the EML light came on and the car was continuosly miss firing.
I called the garage and they claimed they it wasn't there fault as they were only doing an MOT.
All i know is that the car had been fine when i left it with them earlier that day and that upon collection it stopped working. Should I be responsible for repairs for a problem that only occured (seemingly due to them) when they had my car?
