Can we get a refund?!
Actually it was my husband's domain, and he's only realised now that his previous insurers automatically renewed his policy. This has been happening since last April, yes I know, crazy... (he thought it was the home insurance he could see on the statements, I have asked what about any other inclusions he could see on his statements to insurance companies - ie the home insurance - but he's obviously feeling not great so I won't push it...).
Anyway, what are our chances of getting a refund of the excess £1k we've paid? Should the insurers turn us down what are our chances if we contact a financial ombudsman to assist us?
