I hope that someone can please help me. I made a booking with IHG hotels for a room that was non-refundable. Immediately after I made the booking I realized that I had made an error and booked the wrong city. Within one minute of having made the booking I wrote to IHG to advise them of the error and ask them to cancel the booking to which they declined. Does the 7 day cooling off period for distance selling not protect consumers in such situations? Please advise. Thank you. Regards, James.

There are a few exceptions in the dsr and unfortunately one is accommodation, including hotels, sorry thats not the news you wanted but have you tried asking that they transfer it to the correct city? They may do that with an admin fee eather than losing your money completely
