Breaking Glass - who's liable?

Hi all - newbie here!
A pane of glass on my conservatory roof shattered (outside pane not inside pane of double glazing) the other day - it appears to be due to recent hot weather. I'm at this conclusion after having a window repair quote and as there are no obvious impact patterns or large objects around the area which could have caused the breakage.
The conservatory company appear to indicate it is not a warranty or guarantee claim - I'm not sure I agree but I'll be trawling through the paper work this weekend.
Is this something that should be covered under the purchase of the conservatory or will it be covered under the "Sales of Goods Act"? Or is it something that is not covered?
Any help/advice would be appreciated.

How old is it? If less than six months they would have to prove it wasn't an inherent fault. If more than six months, you would have to do the same.

Its definately more than 6 months old. Guess I'll have some reading and research to do this weekend.
