I have own one rental property next to a house which has had a fire and was boared up. The back yard off the property attacted drunks and drug users and was used as a dumpit site. This was beecasue there was no gate and fence. The property was is owned by Northern Guinness housing association. My last tenent left the property because of drunks and drug users using the back yard as a social area. I contaced the housing association to build a fence sorounding the back yard to make secure which they aventually did 10 months later. From June to Ocobeer I was unable to let my property because prospective tennets was put of because of the problems in back yard. I have asked for the housng association to pay compensation for the loss of rent I would have gained of which they have declined. My question is . Is this some thing that I could win against if I take them to small claims courrt. ??

Thanks

Alan
