I hope someone can advise me. 18 months ago purchased an Airsprung branded single bed from Argos. The bed has now virtually collapsed and my daugher is sleeping on it but scared to move incase it gives way completely. Om contacting Argos they have told me that the warranty only lasted for 12 months so there is nothing hey can do but if I pay for an independant report that proves that the bed is unfit for purpose, they may be able to change it for me!
Does anyone know if Airsprung should assist me or if the law covers me for longer than 12 months? My daughter is only small so has hardly overloaded it. Just wanted to seek some advice before I go any further.
Thanks for reading and Happy New Year !

Sale of goods act states items must be fit for purpose of satisfactory quality and durable. Unfortunately at this age it would be up to you to prove the bed doesn't meet these standards. Wouldn't let it drop though, I would expect a bed to last a lot longer than 18 months!
