3 days ago i ordered a sofa for £1980 on a 3 year interest free credit option. I also separatly purchased a dining table where i left £80 deposit with the balance to be paid on arrival. Our circumstances had changed in the last 3 days and i have tried to cancel both these orders but i have been told that i signed a legally binding contract and these goods are made to order so i can not cancel - is this rights? would there be no cooling off period ? its only been 3 days.

Hi, welcome to the forum and yes they are right there is no cooling off when you make a purchase in a shop. You are entering a legally binding contract. The goods are made to order but from my personal experience it takes weeks before they actually start making it, let alone deliver it. It might be worth trying to appeal to their better nature and perhaps call the head office.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I hope it helps.
