Hi can you advice us what to do next.
We brought a sofa from a well known retailer. After about 2 or 3 months the stitching came undone and a technician came out to repair it. 3 weeks later it came undone again and the shop admitted it was a manufacturer fault and replaced it.
As soon as the replacement came and we sat on it we could tell the difference straight away.
It is different cushioning inside.. it's hard to explain it but the original one we had was a lot softer and you would sink into the set when you sat on it. The replacement they gave us although looks the exact same is a lot more harder and springy. We believe they have changed it to make it more hard wearing but it's not the same as we tried in store or what we ordered. We have since had 2 technicians come out to tell us it's fine. both haven't seen many of our sofas so are not sure and they admmited this, one guy was supposed to go into a store himself and double check and he told us himself he wouldnt be going so he never did! we know it's not. Because it is different to the original one we had and different to the one we tried in store. We even went back to 3 different stores traveling miles to double check ourselves and all the ones in store are definitely not the same as what we have so are not as described. They cost over £1400 and we paid over £100 on credit card. The retIler are now refusing to do anything and we don't know what to do next.
We have considered hiring a van and taking them back to the store and telling the manager to sit on both and then tell me they are the same when they aren't! :(

Check out the exact sofa on display at the store. If what's on display feels a lot like the first one delivered to you, then what you have at home (second delivery/replacement) isn't what you've paid for. Talk to the store manager, once you've determined that what's on display at the store feels better than what was delivered and ask them what they can do about it.
