New DFS Sofa delivered damaged

Sorry guys, realised I added my post to wrong section!


Had a new sofa delivered on Saturday. Within 5 mins of the delivery drivers leaving I had inspected the sofa and it is full of scuffs, scratches, buckled leather where it hasn't been made properly and the stitching is all scew whiff.

I immediately called the branch I purchased from who arranged for a repair man to visit on Thursday. I informed her I didn't want it repaired. I had paid for a brand new, damage free sofa and I wanted this one returned and a new one ordered.

Am I within my rights to expect a new one or can they just get away with repairing it? The damage is shocking. I cannot believe they let sofas leave the warehouse in this condition. It looks like a dog has chewed one of them!
