I'll be needing to hire a van shortly as I'm moving house. I've always used Europcar in the past, as they have an office close to me, but I wondered if anyone had any recommendations? Or, indeed, any pitfalls of car/van hire: I know to always point out any scratches/damage before I drive off, but anything else?

It might be easier to find a man with a van, I bet it will be just as cheap as doing a self-hire and you get an extra pair of hands. Just a thought, and when comparing proces don't forget to ask about insurances and excesses.
