Hi there- just a quick question that has me a bit concerned. My girlfriend who is an au-pair for a family was involved in a car accident which was the fault of the other driver, the main insurer (the host father) made an insurance claim for the car and she went to the doctors for neck injury which she suffered from and made a claim for that.
As she is a named driver on the host father's car insurance she isn't quite sure about what is going on between the insurance company and the father. She has been told she will receive £300 for her injury from the father.
My question is: is it possible, since the insurance is dealing with him directly, that he could not disclose or give her the amount she is owed for her injury? Like can the injury settlement figure never be fully disclosed to her only the main insurer ?
I only asked as she is from a different country and leaving in a few weeks and £300 seems a bit low for a neck injury so just concerned they are trying to pull a fast one.
