Son's nursery closed 2 days last week due to snow - they are still wanting me to pay

My Son's nursery closed for 2 days last week due to snow. Monday it was bad and admitedly I would have found it difficult to get there and I live 10 mins walk. However on Tues the public transport system was working and roads clear(er) for sure but they were still closed. I work on a contract basis so don't get paid if I don't go in so have lost earnings for these 2 days yet still having to pay for childcard which didn't happen (yet I would have made it ther on both days and to my work thereafter).

Where do I stand? I've checked my T&Cs and it says nothing about adverse weather conditions or anything similar causing interruption of service.
