We recently switched from Sky to Virgin and we are really happy at the change however we've had a problem with our phone line which has been out of service now for almost a week.

They've been twice to 'fix' it but the problem is with the cable somewhere in the street (our neighbours who also have Virgin have also experienced problems with their phone line). They are coming tomorrow to fix it.

However I've been without a phone now for a week and I was wondering if I have cause to ask for a rebate of part of my phone costs for the month?

Does anyone have any experience of this and what happened?

BT offer a discount if your phone line is out and we managed to get a refund from TalkTalk for the same thing (but after a lot of hassle) so I'd say yes, you are entitled to a discount, hve you checked their T&C's?
