Mattress refund problem

On 28/2/2009 I purchased a mattress from 'Paul Simon' in Swindon, Wiltshire with my Barclaycard.

They had a 20% discount offer which they said ended on 1/3/2009 so I felt hurried into a purchase, though the offer was still running on 3/3/2009.

It was not in stock so I am still awaiting delivery to the store for pick up. On 3/3/2009 I tried to cancel the order but was told this was not possible.

On 8/3/2009 I phoned 'Paul Simon' and once again tried to cancel the order and was told it was not possible.

The item has still not been delivered and I would like to cancel with a full refund.

Can anyone please tell me if I am entitled to a refund?

Thanks.

Thanks for the response.

That's pretty much what Swindon Trading Standards said to me yesterday.

I've e-mailed the company on their advice making my case for misrepresentation and a refund, and am awaiting a reply (I'm not holding my breath).

Trading Standards probably won't do much, might pay them a visit and "educate them".

You might be pleasantly surprised by the letter, what have they got to lose by providing good customer service?
