The Tech Herald reports: If any more proof were needed that certain morally vacuous individuals on the Internet know no shame, then news that the death of actress Natasha Richardson is being used as a way of spreading malicious online content is sure to drive the point home once and for all.

Specifically, security firm Sophos has said online criminals are taking advantage of the tragic death of the 45-year-old actress by creating malicious Web pages peppered with keywords related to the innocuous skiing accident that resulted in Richardson suffering a deadly internal head injury.According to Sophos, the attackers create seemingly reliable story content skimmed from other reputable news sites and then push that content high up the rankings on search engines such as Google and Yahoo.
