I am actually in Georgia at the moment working with the UN...and it's VERY concerning. The Russians, in my opinion, are spoiling for a fight to hamper Georgia's NATO aspirations and are encouraging the Ossetians and the Abkazians to open up fronts and draw negative international attention.

Fighting has been fierce and has spread from Ossetia to the Kodori Valley region of Abkhazia...whether it goes any further around the Abkhaz/Georgian Administrative Border is anyone's guess at the moment.

It's a complicated, bloody mess.
