Hey, first I want to offer praise for this website and forum. Having read through several of the articles I am now much more informed on my rights and skimming the forum the help provided is superb.

Anyway this isn't a specific problem but an enquiry as such. When I buy a lot of tech they have little stickers saying "removing this voids warranty". Having read through the website I'm guessing this doesn't affect your statutory rights. But what I'm wondering is in the case of say an Xbox where they cover the screws in those voids warranty stickers. If I had opened up the xbox out of interest, looked inside, closed it up then several months later it had died, would they claim that access to it means they lose responsibility for having to repair it?

As I said this isn't an issue at current, but I've always been put off having a poke at equipment I've bought in case it breaks at a later date and I get blamed.
