I have never been able to find a complete comparison of the overall cost, in money, CO2 and energy, between the old light bulbs and new light bulbs.
I suspect, that if all the total costs:- in machinary, machinary to make the machinary, gases, disposal, etc were all counted, the new light bulbs would not be such a great advantage - unless one is a manufacturer of light bulbs!
Somehow, the total comparisons are not available, or easily available anyway.
Can anybody restore my faith in the politicians and industrialists ?
