I'm hoping for some advice with regards to my car breaking down and the price of the repair.
I purchased a car from Arnold Clarke for £3000 on 29th of October 2008, and it broke down on May 4th (a few days over six months). Arnold Clarke are now looking for £900 to replace the ecu and some wiring.
Is this excessive? and will I still be covered by the Sale of Goods Act (1979) as the car became faulty a few days after six months?
Any advice would be most appreciated.
