The Jonas Bothers are the latest pop sensation from the US. They're best known for the Disney movie Camp Rock and their boyish charm and luscious locks - girls love them.

Budding pop star Esther Martin, 10, is one of their biggest fans. So, when she saw a Jonas Brothers competition on the Disney Channel, she was desperate to win.

The prize was a VIP ticket to the premier of their latest movie in London, Jonas Brothers - The 3D concert experience.

With thousands of other fans likely to enter the competition, Esther's mum, Julia, thought the chances of winning were slim.

Dream come true
But Esther did enter and a few weeks later she got the call she'd been waiting for. She'd won and would be going to the premier. She was ecstatic. "I was screaming, I was jumping," Esther told Watchdog.

Just to be sure, Julia rang Disney to check. It confirmed Esther was a winner, and they sent through the schedule for her prize trip to London. It was all there in black and white; limousine, dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and even a night in a posh London hotel.

Esther was over the moon until later that day when there was another call from Disney. It wasn't good news. It said that there had been a mistake and Esther was a runner-up and her only prize was a goody bag.

Julia rang Disney back to complain but it just confirmed what she'd already been told, Esther wouldn't be going to the premier.

Esther was devastated and Julia couldn't believe what Disney had done. "They set themselves up as making dreams come true, that's what they say in all their adverts"

Well they'd just turned Esther's dream into a nightmare.

Disney recognises human error
That's when the family got in touch with Watchdog. We contacted Disney to find out what had gone wrong. The company said there had been a human error and that Esther could go to the premiere after all. She was, understandably chuffed to bits.

The Disney Channel told Watchdog
"After an immediate internal review of the matter, Disney Channel notified all five winning families that they'd each receive the first-prize package and be VIP guests at the Jonas Brothers 3D Movie premiere. Although an established protocol is in place regarding its competitions, Disney Channel apologises for any distress caused by what was found to be human error."
