I am wondering whether to get pet insurance for my dog and would like recommendations, but also any thoughts on saving the premium instead of getting insurance.
Although I am in the AA now, for peace of mind when I drive my elderly mum, for years I put the would-be cost of breakdown cover away in a special account instead of buying it, and after five years I was quids in! After ten I had stopped the saving, realising I could pay for the occasional breakdown from ready cash if need be.
