I just came across this George Wimpey site and there was one snagging defect that made me laugh/cry which really does outline the challenge the housebuilders are up against in terms of the mentality of the so called workman they are using the build our homes.

Writing scored into wall at right of window "Daz wiz ere" apparantly!!!!

This does not excuse the builders in any way, but it does mean they need to manage these people more closely and introduce more effective quality control.

That's a great looking site - it must have taken ages and I suppose that reflects how angry that homeowner is.

That list was pretty disgraceful....I think I'd be just as cross of I'd spent upwards of £100K on something that was in that sort of awful state.

It's good that he is applying pressure to them and appears to be holding Wimpey's feet to the fire pretty spectacularly.

Good for him!

Including the word Wimpey in the domain name may make it easy for them to have the site taken down. Not sure.
